Since 1932, in Zippo's own record
History & Heritage
Zippo Manufacturing Company tells this story itself: a Bradford, Pennsylvania lighter, a lifetime repair promise, and a wartime steel case that traveled with American servicemembers. The notes on this page follow those published accounts. Photographs generated for this website are workshop illustrations. They are not pictures from Zippo’s archive.
Blazing Laser, in Manchester, New Hampshire, sells and engraves genuine Zippo lighters. Zippo makes them in Bradford.
Veterans & Their Zippos is not published. It waits for authentic, documented stories and photographs.
